Research Interests

Neuropeptide S (NPS) and its cognate G protein coupled receptor (GPCR), the NPS receptor (NPSR), is a newly deorphanized GPCR system. Because it has been discovered very recently, little is known about the function of the NPS/NPSR system. My research project is to decipher the pharmacological characteristics, anatomical distribution and some of the physiological functions of this novel neuropeptide system.

Honors and Awards

Graduate student fellowship (2004), Graduate student travel award (2004)
